HC4 Peeled Round Strainers/ Fence Posts (Long Life)

The strainer is the fundamental strength in a fence run, used as the post for the stock fence or netting and line wire to be strained off.

These are generally driven in at ends, corners and every 50m along the length of a longer fence run then supported by a diagonal brace (called a ‘Strut’) in order to give the necessary strength.

There are three key reasons why our strainers are so popular:

1. Redwood Timber: More naturally durable than whitewood strainers and will also last up to 3 times longer

2. Pressure Treated: We make sure our strainers are correctly pressure treated, guaranteeing maximum penetration and helping prevent rot through water ingress

3. Milling: We ensure our strainers are machined to a high standard from good quality timber, particularly important when driving these in using a post driver!

Once you’ve worked out how many strainers you need, don’t forget to include the necessary struts (1 per end strainer and 2 struts for corner/two way strainers).
