Chestnut paling is a common style of fencing in many areas, particularly in woodland/nature areas and to demark garden or path boundaries.
This is generally fixed to round timber posts, often spaced approx. 3m apart, using galvanised staples.
The posts should be a minimum of 18″ (450mm) longer than the height of the chestnut paling you choose in order to give the fence adequate strength.
1. As Chestnut is a hardwood, it means the timber is naturally more durable than standard pressure treated softwood
2. Due to the fact it is a hardwood, Chestnut doesn?t need to be pressure treated meaning the appearance of the paling is more natural and blends with the surrounding environment
To work out how many rolls you require, please divide the total fence length (in metres) by the roll length of the height paling you select, making sure you round up rather than down so you don?t run short.
Please note, certain heights of chestnut paling are a ‘to order? only item, please bear this in mind when ordering.
